Handwritten letter from Margaret Mead to her grandmother, Martha A. Mead, reports that Mead will sail from Hawaii in the afternoon and will find it difficult to leave her friends. Describes in detail the sights, sounds, and smells of the island. Closes by sending love to 'dear little grandma.' Written on the letterhead of the Matson Navigation Company, S.S. Matsonia - at Sea; dated August 24, 1925.
