- Abstract / Summary
- **The image(s) of the document may be omitted here because of copyright considerations** A group of clippings from magazines -- primarily the January and May, 1928, issues of Hearst's International-Cosmopolitan, show depictions of men and women from advertisements and illustrations. These may be realistic paintings, cartoons or caricatures, and some focus on specific body parts such as faces, hands and feet. They may be some of the images that Margaret Mead used in the field to gauge natives' reactions to such depictions. Half of the images here appear to be merely the obverse sides of the clippings.
