- Description
- A young woman, Goma, carrying a child, her cousin Etu (daughter of Maouma), on her shoulders. The girl has a red-brown stripe made of juice from a berry in the middle of her forehead as decoration, and she is wearing a skirt made of printed material. The child is wearing a necklace made of coloured beads. Louis states that ephemeral decorations are commonly worn in the forest, and that another example, not visible here, is a dark blue plant dye that turns the mouth, lips, tongue and teeth dark blue for a few days. This image is related to 1997.21.3.1002.
