- Description
- A young woman, Matangu (wife of Balonyona) sat on the ground wearing a T-shirt and a skirt made of printed cloth. In the background there is a fire burning in front of a building made of wooden poles and mud. Matangu is wearing a t-shirt that shows an image of (probably) one of her children. The t-shirts were made by Louis Sarno during a two-week visit to the US at the end of 1989. See also the photo of Gbilema (1997.21.3.990).
