Abstract / Summary
Since 1981, Latin American and Caribbean women’s organizations have hosted regional and national feminist meetings to discuss and support feminist movements across Latin America. Discussion topics at these conferences ranged from lesbianism to prostitution and from racism to economic justice. This review of the Seventh Latin American and Caribbean Feminist Meeting contains reflections of attendees and presenters at the conference. With a view to engage in the dialogue of autonomous feminists, this document provides a space for those feminists to present their reflections on the meeting, society, and the media. It is meant to point out the multiplicity of feminisms in Latin American society.
