- Description
- In the Summer of 2009, Dan decided to take his musical talents and ambitions to
New Orleans. Dan began playing and recording with local musicians and really
started to make a name for himself. It was shortly thereafter, Ben decided visit
his brother to do some recording with him.
Although Ben was only in New Orleans for a few days, the two songs they recorded inspired the whole idea behind the release of B-Sides. "The Mississippi River" and "Everything That's Me" were written and recorded in 2 days. "The Mississippi River" was at this point, the catchiest song they have ever written together. That song was written by Ben and Dan, who were drinking their morning coffee staring at the Mississippi River. The genuineness of this song shines through like the sun over that very river.
B-Sides is collection of past songs written and recorded by FireHead Jerry that did not make it on any previous albums. Some of the recordings are raw, and some are even recorded on a 4-track. This 8 track album has songs that have been recorded over a 4 year span, including the two most recent tracks recorded in New Orleans.
One of the tracks on this album, "Self-Defense" was featured in a short filmed called Demption. This film was produced and stared by David Krumholtz.
