- Description
- This album is a tribute to Satamian's adopted country, Canada. It is a 'thank
you' for the loving and dignified way he was treated as a refugee from Lebanon
(starting in 1989). Without the compassion he was shown, he would not have been
inspired to write such beautiful music. Canada gave him a sense of stability,
security and happiness that were necessary for his creativity.
Elvira Voskanyan (violin) / Gerard Satamian (piano)The Depth of Joy, Hope from Above
"Mr. Satamian has done it again. From the depths of his inspired soul, he voices yet another message of hope from heaven, as it were. He captures impressions and expresses them with a feeling of hope; he inspires with lilting phrases and mature movement. Much of the spirit of his "Dry Fig Leaves" is evident here, with added verve and joy. Congratulations to him on another gift to all of us."
