Description

This collection of traditional English folk songs is performed here by Wallace House in spoken word with guitar accompaniment (occasional strums). It is not sung and instead performed as "poetry". These old "songs" date back as early as 1840 and represent interesting examples of dialects from around England. The album is interesting not only for folksong lyrics and linguistics but also for folklore from different regions in England. (No liner note information)
