- Review
- Bela Fleck became one of pop music's great innovators. Like other innovators, Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart, and Grateful Dead, Fleck began playing very traditional forms. His inspired delivery of banjo classics introduced these melodies to a new audience, a new generation. This 1981 release remastered for CD features Bela Fleck as part of a banjo trio. As the artist brought banjo tunes to pop audiences, here he helps bring fiddle tunes to a banjo audience. Often backing are fiddles, mandolin, string bass, etc. ~ Tom Schulte, All Music Guide
