- Description
Notes on reel to reel box (MS ink) 'Tape X. 28th Jan. 1961, 3 p.m. Song at TIEL, ceremony + explanation from Gabriel, + TU-LIT.'
Notes from previous database created by Tina Stoeklin in March 1997 'Tracks include: 1) Tiel, sung by Gabriel. This is sung while waiting for Demits (ancestor spirit) to show up at seance outside Nimbaur after Mbalulen. Mbablulen refers to the date of a divining ceremony, occuring roughly in November, during the seventh day of the moon, or when the moon is directly overhead at sunrise. 2) Gabriel tells story about Lumlu (an oracle), partly in English. 3) Nambwe tuvit (departure of Demits)' [NL, 14/05/2013]
