Abstract / Summary
This study was compiled for the South Wales Miners' Library during 1975-76 by Charles Parker, who held a Welsh Tinplate Labour Trust Junior Fellowship. The study focuses on recorded memoirs of the 1926 General Strike, and more specifically of a comparative study of the attitudes in South Wales during industrial action in 1926 and 1975-76. "The Big Hewer" was a radio ballad produced by Charles Parker, Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger for the BBC.
