Notes from previous database created by Tina Stoeklin in March 1997 'Tracks include: 1) Gabriel tells a story in English. 2) Gabriel sings tsir - tsarin, a song for a rehearsal dance. The words refer to the journey to the land of the dead to summon the spirits of the ancestors, to bless the ceremony.
3) repeat of tsir tsarin, with Samuel singing harmony. According to Clausen, this song dates from an earlier singing tradition, more closely related to John Layard's recordings (c. 1920). Current version has less vocal ornament.' [NL, 14/05/2013]

Clausen [in conversation] however, could not recall whether yam posts were indeed erected on this particular occasion, or whether the Amokh people sang and danced BiLagh to demonstrate what they would sing.
