Abstract / Summary
Date: 18 January 1977. Place: Bauro West, San Cristobal, Solomon Islands. Handwritten air mail letter from Ishmael Tuki to Raymond Firth re: duplicating machines and island news. Tuki apologizes that he did not write to thank Firth and the British Council of Schools for the duplicators; he lost Firth's address in a move. He says that the Tikopia people and chiefs are very pleased with the machines. Tuki then lists Tikopians who have died. He mentions that Fr. Casper Uka is Assistant Bishop of the Independent Church of Melanesia.
